Browsing this site

The site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or tracking scripts. It is served by Cloudflare, which briefly processes visitor IP addresses in its server logs to deliver pages and block abuse; Cloudflare acts as our hosting provider and we don’t use those logs to identify you.

Booking enquiries

The only way to contact us here is email. When you enquire about a stay, we hold what you send — typically your name, email address, dates and group details — to answer you and manage the booking. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before a contract, then the contract itself. Booking and payment records are kept for six years to meet UK accounting and tax rules; other correspondence is deleted once it’s no longer needed.

Our houses are also listed on Airbnb. If you book there, that booking is handled under Airbnb’s own privacy policy, not this one.

Writing to businesses

We sometimes write to accommodation and relocation businesses at their published company contact details about placing guests in our houses. We rely on legitimate interest for this business-to-business contact. Tell us once that you’d rather not hear from us and we won’t write again — we keep the minimum needed to honour that permanently.

Our internal tools and Google data

We run an internal reporting tool, Kaul Group Monitor, which reads this site’s own Google Search Console data through Google’s API with read-only access. It reports on how the site appears in search results. It does not collect, store or share personal information about visitors, and its data stays on company equipment. Kaul Group Monitor’s use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of your information, ask us to correct or delete it, restrict or object to our use of it, or ask for it in a portable form. Email bookings@kaulgroup.co.uk and we’ll respond within a month. If you’re unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

If this policy changes, the new version appears on this page with a new date below.
