Hi, I’m Akshita.
I run Kaul Group — six houses across the UK that we’ve spent the last few years restoring, one at a time. Before that (and still now), I’ve been an Airbnb host. Nine years, 171 reviews, 4.7 out of 5 — and somewhere along the way, hosting stopped being a side thing and became the thing I love most.
What keeps me at it is the people. I genuinely like meeting new ones, hearing what brings them to a place, swapping stories about food and travel and where to eat. After a decade of this, I’ve learned that the difference between an okay stay and a memorable one usually lives in the small stuff — a kettle that works the first time, a note about the best bakery on the street, someone who replies when you ask about parking at 9pm. I love getting those things right.
A bit about me, since you asked:
- Born in the 80s, based in the UK
- Speak English and Hindi
- Useless skill: sitting still (I can’t)
- Mildly obsessed with tidying up — your house will arrive that way
- I cook, I bake, I host friends constantly
- One very active toddler at home, no pets (she keeps us busy enough)
- Not a breakfast person myself, but yours will be sorted
When I’m not looking after the houses, I’m usually travelling — and using Airbnb plenty as a guest, which is honestly where most of my ideas come from. Every house in this collection is set up the way I’d want a place to be when I’m the one arriving somewhere late, jetlagged, hoping the wifi works.
Whenever you need me, I’m here — usually within four hours, every day. Just send a message.
So glad you found us. Hope you’ll come stay.
